RUTH ARMSTRONG Ruth Armstrong, a native of Montreal, has resided in Peterborough for over forty years. She has always had a keen interest in visual arts, her favourite subjects include landscapes and scenes taken from nature. She depicts these themes using either oil paint of watercolour. Ruth has found more time to paint in the past twenty years, since her children have become adults. During this time she has also had the opportunity to travel with her husband, to destinations, including Europe, Cuba and throughout Canada and the US. Her travels have influenced her work and exposed her to different styles. She and her husband spent their winters in Largo Florida where Ruth often took classes. Today she continues to paint and enjoys her friends at the gallery. “I have shown my Art at the Hospital’s juried shows, Buckhorn Festival and others. I am a member of KAGS and The Peterborough Arts Umbrella.”
